Pros: All of the best Cinderella songs on the same CD.

Cons: Once you start listening to it, you don't want to quit!

I have been a Cinderella fan since the mid 80's. These guys are just as good as they were then, if not better. This CD is the best one yet. It combines the band's own raw edge sound with hard rock, blues, & a couple of power ballads. This is,... by far, one of the best CD's to come out in years! Read more Less

Pro Reviews: Rocked Wired & Bluesed: The Greatest Hits

  • All Music Guide

It seemed like just about every single glammetal outfit to surface in the '80s patterned its sound after two specific bands Kiss and Aerosmith. And while Cinderella were indeed influenced heavily by the latter band, they were one of the few groups of the genre to replace Kiss with the Rolling Stones resulting in a slightly rootsier brand of glam. But unlike, say, the Black Crowes, Cinderella had no problem smoothing out the rough edges for the mainstream pop crowd, as evidenced by just about any track included on the 17track compilation Rocked, Wired Bluesed: The Greatest Hits. Cinderella pretty much owned MTV through the late '80s, and all of their video hits are included here including the arena rockers ("Shake Me," "Somebody Save Me," "Last Mile," "Gypsy Road") and the ohsotender power ballads ("Nobody's Fool," "Don't Know What You Got 'Til It's Gone"). If you're looking for a trip down memory lane to when it seemed like just about every week there was another heavily madeup roc...ker posing on MTV, Rocked, Wired Bluesed: The Greatest Hits is a worthy set. - Greg Prato, All Music Guide Read more Less

Biography

Cinderella

When Cinderella released their debut album, Night Songs, in 1986, they were packaged like a second-rate Bon Jovi imitation, which isn't surprising since Jon Bon Jovi was responsible for bringing the band to Mercury Records. Although the record wasn't bad, it was standard lite metal without much distinction, apart from lead guitarist/vocalist Tom Keifer's exaggerated Ste... Read more
