DCC's Rock of the 70's, Vol. 4 is an eleven song collection of some 70's AOR staples as well as a few soft rock classics. The disc focuses on the softer side of AOR with ballads like "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas, "Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues, "Hello It's Me" by Todd Rundgren and "Daniel"by Elton John. It also collects some more mainstream pop/rock ballads like Bob Welch's "Sentimental Lady," Leon Russell's "Lady Blue" and Eric Carmen's "All By Myself". Unlike many compilations of the 70's, this one has a theme and carries it through quite nicely. Anyone looking for a brief, low priced survey of rock ballads of the 70's might give this disc a shot. .
