Dunhill's Rock of the 70's, Vol. 2 sports a pretty narrow song list, the range is being mostly the kind of rock one was liable to hear on a middle of the road AOR radio station with a few surprises. The former category includes big hits like Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band," Lynryd Skynrd's "Sweet Home Alabama," Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" and Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London". The latter category boasts Dr. John's "Right Place, Wrong Time" and 10CC's "The Wall Street Shuffle". The brief running time makes this disc less than essential and keeps it from being any kind of definitive statement of the era, more like a pleasantly rocking snapshot.
