Look just because I am a MAN doesnt mean I cant see a Lady Movie and become effected by its poignnat story line and plotline of self discovery through hard times, WELL Amy Grant starred in the movie SMALLTOWN WIDOW, and when I saw it (i must admit it, i only saw it because Tron 2: Extended Play was sold out!) i thought, great whatever I just hope the popcorn is decent, and MaN I GOTTA tell you it was a crymaking movie in which I also laughed and thought about life. I won;t disclose the story plot to much, but advice it to say that she have lost her husband (a pilot who struggles with personal mentalness, until their is a crash) and she must go to a small town where she begins a new life. LISTEN to this nerveshacking arrangement of songs: LEARNING TO LIKE THINGS AGAIN, BOOGIE FOR ONE, HOTPLATE SURPRISE, A FLOWER CALLED DENNIS, VELVET RODEO, A PENNY FOR YOUR NICKEL, and her almost practically best song of all her CD (comptack dist) albums, EXPERIENCING A PERSONAL SITUATION. | EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Rock of Ages...Hymns Faith is the rare sequel that rivals the original. 2002's Legacy, Amy Grant's first collection of oldtime hymns and religious material, both familiar and obscure, was a fullfledged return to inspirational material after many years of secular material, and it was an understated delight, thanks to the smart song selection and classy, subtly shaded production from her husband Vince Gill and Brown Bannister. Rock of Ages doesn't change their approach at all, primarily because if it worked so well the first time, why change? Some of the songs here aren't as wellknown as the tunes on the first record, but when Grant sings a song that is universally known, such as the title track or "Jesus Loves Me," it becomes easier to appreciate what she, Gill, and Bannister have achieved here. They have updated these old hymns most are from the 1800s, some date to the 1600s and 1700s so thoroughly that when they slip in a couple of new songs in among them, the fit is comfortable, not awkward. It works because the music is never flashy; it is relaxed and assured, giving Grant plenty of breathing room and giving Gill plenty of place to play some wonderful guitar. It's the rare contemporary Christian album that functions as terrific religious material and transcends its genre based on the richness of its music. Pros: A new twist to OLD OLD hymns

Amy Grant has a knack for being different. This album has some great renditions of old Church of Christ Hymns...Sweet Will of God, Rock of Ages, and Everyday with Jesus. This is the best rendition of Rock of Ages I have ever heard. Usually it is so somber and you hear it at funerals, but Amy Grant and Vince Gill actually make the song have a different feel to it...not so somber. Amy actually makes you want to pull out the hymnal and read some of the classic words that are so moving. Great Job!
