    Much better than overrated Braveheart

    This movie has better acting, a better, more to the point story, and is less pretensious than Braveheart. Braveheart is fake art. Rob Roy on the other hand is simple story but well told and paced. Unlike the long, boring Braveheart. Groove900 you're ...an idiot pretending to be sophisticated by saying you liked Braveheart more than Rob Roy.The battle scenes in Braveheart were the typical crap you see in every other movie. Rob Roy's final battle scene felt way more authentic and realistic. Read more Less

    A relatively low budget movie compared to Braveheart. Battle scences were incomparable to the latter both in scope and intensity. Beautiful scenery of the Scottish highland and excellent characterization by Lange and Roth. The sword duel betwee...n Roth and Neeson was excellent.
