Everything about this crock pot is quality all the way. The size and shape of it allows for roasts, hams, chicken and large quantities of stew, soups or casseroles. I've had other crock pots and they can be difficult to clean after slow cooking ...something all day. Not this one. This versa ware crock comes clean with just soapy water. I've never had anything clean out that simply. You can use versa ware on the cook top. It comes with a special rack to use if you have a glass top range, for gas ranges this can go right on the flame. This enables you to brown your meat, or sear a roast, then roast in the slow cooker, or even put this in the oven. The timer is simple to use. The knobs are a bit big but function well. I appreciate the timer that automatically switches to warm setting when complete. Last but not least, this also can go into the microwave. So many crock pots do not allow that feature since the lids have metal handles. This is an added plus when wanting to heat up leftover chili fast. There is no steam spitting with this slow cooker, even when set on high. That is a big bonus since so many crock pots do that and make a mess. Buy this versa ware slow cooker.
