Pros: Keeps temp when it did work
Cons: Constant Error message
We used this ONE time. We fried chicken in it. It worked like a charm. The next time we used it, again to fry chicken, it would give us an error message as soon as you turned it on. After turning it on and off a few times, checking to make sure it wa...s on it's base, trying several different outlets, it would start to heat, but then would ERR again. VERY frustrating. We tried to cook eggs, ERR...beef, ERR. Nothing we did would make it work. The only way Rival will replace or repair it, is if you send it back to them with the receipt or proof of purchase and YOU pay shipping to them and then back to you. There isn't even a phone number in the instruction manual and absolutely no trouble shooting ideas if you do get an ERR message. Great concept for a skillet (digital)...but almost too smart. I don't want this product anymore. Who knows how long it will last if they do replace or repair it. Waste of money. I'll go back to the old fashioned way. Read more Less

Best electric skillet we've ever owned!

Pros: Digital display & dial for exact cooking temperature; Removable skillet for easy washing; Even cooking/heat distribution; Glass lid for keeping an eye on food as it cooks
Cons: Only one cosmetic flaw- The plastic is peeling near the digital temp. display
Compared to other electric skillets we've owned, this is the best one!!! We've had it for over two years, using it nearly once a week, and it's never failed us; we've used it for everything from Coq au vin to Steak fajitas to French t...oast. The features are what make it great (see above). I literally have recommended this product to our friends- as two our guests asked us about it the last time we had a dinner party. Read more Less
