    Pros: Best graphics of all the Ridge Racer games.

    Cons: Not up to par for a next generation console.

    I just bought the Xbox 360 and Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, and Ridge Racer. Call of Duty 2 was by far the best purchase. Ridge Racer is such a disappointment. The graphics were just a little better than on the PS2 and the game play is about identical. M...y PSP Ridge Racer can go against this game. Not what you would expect for a next generation console. Quake 4 really shows off the graphics of the Xbox 360 and how it is capable of displaying great graphics. Ridge Race makes all of its tracks more cartoonish like and not real world looking. The colors are dull for most of the tracks. I am going to go trade the game in and see if I can get Need For Speed or Project Gotham. Read more Less

    Best Racing Game for Control

    Pros: The graphics, control on the road and best of all the sound.

    Cons: Don't play tired you can get vertigo or motion sickness.

    I love when the controller vibrated when you hit the wall or something like that. It feels realistic. I love the commentary. The graphics are good enough that I can get sometimes motion sickness when I am tired. Safe for all ages.

    But I'm gone. The truth is that I'm indeed a fan of Ridge Racer, which is precisely why I'd like to see it do better than this cookie-cutter offering. It's well past time for Namco to start tinkering under the hood of this old jalopy, especially considering the impressive new engines powering games these days.     Ridge Racer 6 (Xbox 360)

    Ridge Racer 6 is fun in bursts, but theres simply too much wrong with it to merit much praise. The lack of car customisation options, the constrained three-lap race limit, the irritation of having to win each race in World Explorer to progress to the next, and the overly predictable format even right down to the stereotypical announcer who hollers banalities at you while you race smacks of by-numbers development. Our advice would be to spend your cash on Project Gotham Racing 3 instead, as its vastly superior in every way. Read more
