Vaughn and Phoenix carry the film
This film could have easily been dull and irritating, if it weren't for the two, then fairly unknown, brilliant actors. Vince Vaughn and Joaquin Phoenix do an excellent job of playing two friends whose lives are altered dramatically by one party too many in unfamiliar territory. The cinematography, focusing on dark, cramped, damp spaces, reflects the brutal and soul-searching elements of the film. I highly recommend the film, if only for yet another instance of beautiful performances by these two men.

Party, Party, Party!! Rum, women, song, and hashish. 3 friends party until one of them gets caught. But the other 2 don't find out until 2 years later when the strict Malasian government decides to execute the imprisoned friend.
What would you do? I don't know what I would do. This movie shows what true friends are made of. Just when you thought you knew how this movie was going to end the plot thickens once again! 5 stars!! I highly recomend this movie!!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoVery Good!!
