STAR WARS...the most famous saga ever

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 17, 2002

STAR WARS is the most famous saga ever, no matter how few teenagers today dont understand it, and in that i am fairly alone. harrison ford may be 60 today, but he is one of the most famous actors in history and this is a movie that made him famous. s...tar wars is everywhere. ive heard teenage girls that have no clue between a ewok and a jedi, say they look like jabba the hutt (though i doubt if they even know what jabba the hutt looks like...) james earl jones is the infamous voice of darth vader and darth vader has become synominous with "evil". Episodes I, II, and III are no where near IV, V, VI. The mistake is that a series of movies needs the same characters and the same actors playing them to work. Its just not the same, however I did enjoy Liam Neeson's acting in Episode I as Qui Gon Jinn. He was the savior of that film. Episode II and III are doomed without him (for those who are deadweights...he dies in E.I). Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, Lando Calrissian, Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Bobba Fett, Grand Moff Tarkin, Admiral Ackbar Calamari...these are the true star wars saga. Please lets all help in the epic battle against the chickflicks that are eating the brains of the new generation. i am of that generation (15) and i see it falling fast. Movies like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Mummy, The Lord of the Rings...these can save the minds of the generation if they are loved. Adventure saves lives from movies like Clueless and cr*p like the chickflicks today. Read more Less

    EASILY THE BEST MOVIE EVER

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 23, 2002

Return of the Jedi is my favorite of the trilogy, lightsaber duels, the seconcd death star blowing up, the ewoks, and the increasingly fast and interesting storyline. I can't wait till the DVD...

    Very Good!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 18, 2002

Very good ending to a great saga. But they should have showed us more on whether Anakin Skywalker disapered out of the suit when he died or whether he was fully burnt like Qui Gon Gin. DVD?

    Yo Skywalker! Where's my DVD???

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 25, 2001

Ack...I know it's still in the making, and even though my patience is wearing thin, I patiently wait. After all, Lucas' stories have entertained me for nearly 25 years, and now they are shared with my children.

    Cyberthug's Last Word

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 6, 2001

The last of the trilogy. A very impressive film indeed. It combines elements of the first two films with another twist for the third. It falls a little short of my expections but it does do the job it's supposed to do. "Jedi" answers all the question...s left by "Empire" and provides a solid ending to a great trilogy. Once again, the visual effects are state of the art and dazzling. You will not be disappointed. Read more Less

Brilliant, amazing, out of this world.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 1, 2001

The thing you and me alike, is the well written screenplay, and the special fx. No film, in all respect has actually had the same scope in FX than this, back in the 80's. And of course the matrix will be better visually (because of the time it was ma...de 90's), but Jedi is a better film because of the outstanding and groundbreaking FX. There hasen't been a trillogy with a great plot, great FX, and great scipt since the release of the starwars trillogy. The star wars trillogy has humor, great directing and brilliant acting. George keep up the good work. Read more Less
