    After an extended break, Jean Claude Van Damme hits the screens again in a role that is not like any other he has played before. In Replicant, he plays Edward Garrotte, aka "The Torch", a ruthless serial killer who targets young mothers and their chi...ldren. Jake Riley (Michael Rooker) has been after Garrotte for over 3 years and has not been able to bring him down........until now!! Riley is approached by a secret organisation who have created a "Replicant" (also played by Van Damme) of Garrotte that possesses telepathic abilities to try and track down the killer. Although Van Damme has shared screen time with himself before (he played twin brothers in Double Impact) never have we seen him as a killer who savagely mutilates his victims, which provides an acting stretch for the martial artist, and he manages to do a top notch job. Replicant is jam - packed with fight sequences that are of an excellent standard, unbelievable stunts and intense chase scenes. The ending is a full on duel that shows no mercy, where Garrotte and Replicant face off against each other. A must see for all Van Damme fans!!! Read more Less

    this is a very good movie jean claude's best move ever he plays duplict roles again but it is very good.Good acting,good action,there is also a litle comedy with it.It dosent have alot of action until the end which the action is realy good.Ringo lam ...directed it and he did a very nice job.this movie is worth getting for vandamme fans and even not vandamme fans i say every one will enjoy it.
