I think Im one of Michaels greatest fans if not the greatest. I was with him back in the days of "Sleeping Gypsy' , "One Bad Habit" and before that even. Ive always liked all or most of the tunes on his albums a lot. Yet with this ...latest release only a couple do I really like. He still has that very MICHEAL way of writing lyrics and surrounds himself with top notch musicians. Still theres only one, maybe two tunes that I want to hear over and over. I think even when Michael goes for LOW-KEY smooth and cool like he often does, the tunes still grab you. Theyre so hip and melodic. In my humble opinion theres not much of that this time around. I think the cd keeps with the mood thought of with the title "Rendezvous In Rio", so if ur wanting just a nice easy pace with no real hooks, this one does it. Overall, for any Micheal Franks fan its still a decent buy and an ok addition to your collection. Youre just not going to be wowed. Read more Less
