    Renaissance: Revelation

Yeah, the guy's right about the track listing; I don't think there are three cd's. And you gotta give Danny Howells his credit too. Anyway, this album is HOT. It's been in my cd player, mp3 player, and my md player ever since I got it. Every sing...le track on this compilation is worth listening to, but my absolute favorites are "Rapture" and "Stealth." Be prepared to have this album playing in your stereo, portable, and in your mind for a long time.---CrAzYwOlFeYeS Read more Less

revelation: nick warren and danny howell

1.) danny howells and nick warren did renaissance revelation2.) the tracklisting here is incorrect (as of today, at least. try looking for a good dj site for the tracklisting; its space-wasting to write it down here.) it's a double-edged sword when y...ou have 2 dj's on a progressive mix 2cd set. where usually, an artist picks up on d2 where he left off on d1, there is no cohesion between howell's and warren's mixes. the counterargument to that, though, is that you get independently brilliant mixes from 2 great djs to appease the listeners of this set. howells' set is just a bit more tribal, and isn't so progressive, as his beats are strong from the start, while warren makes a steady buildup until track 7, 'dirty', where the mix starts to REALLY kick in. while that seems weird, to have it kick in so late, i'll let you know that the first 6 songs are relatively short, so don't worry, he kicks in at the right time. what's also great is that the djs weren't left to 'extend' songs just to make a 2cd set. warren and howells squeeze in substantial information with what time they had, and come up with strong output. almost all the songs are brand new, quality stuff from predominantly non-ubiquitious acts. that's great for those who are getting tired of remixes of delerium songs on almost every mix cd of the last 6 months. no 'fence to those who had 'em, but it was everywhere. i would, however, suggest, that if you want to listen to both cds in succession, start with the nick warren disc. i think it would make for a better feel. another must-buy from the renaissance masters series. great show.
