    There's never been a time that I was literally pissed that a band broke up. Usually, my reaction is "Oh, That's Too Bad, They Were A Good Band.", but At The Drive-In was amazing. No one can create music as exhilirating or intense as this band had don...e. None even came close, as far as I'm concerned, in capturing such a spirited and relentless state of rock music, at least since this album's release. There have been better, but few can surpass or even match this level of honesty. Sparta, (containing three members of at the drive-in), tried to reproduce their previous band's formula, resulting in mundane, uninspired crap.Mars Volta (containing the other 2/5 of at the drive-in), took a more experimental, avant garde direction with their music, and, while, succeeding in being unique, is inaccessible and not nearly as energetic or pure as At the Drive-In seemed to be.Neither band rivals atdi.     The complete uniquiness of the album I think is what draws me in to listen to it every time. You can really hear all of the instruments, and thats a good thing, for they seem to be very talented and driven. I hope they came back for at least anothe...r album because music needs a band like this to stir the stagnic stew that has formed over the past few years. Read more Less

    By far one of the best albums of 2000. First heard One Armed Scissor and picked up the album. The album rocks all of the tracks are unique and are yet good. It also has a good EMO edge to it. Highly recommended.
