This cd is one of the most influencial of its time. Today bands look at this cd and Slayer as the gods of heavy metal. Their speed lyrics and timing were all completely put together, and well at that. To anyone who says this isn't a good cd, or i...t isn't worthy of being looked at does NOT deserve to be reconized, looked up to, or honored for their unworthy opinion. Slayer - Reign In Blood (1986)

Slayer's Reign In Blood was one of my favorite cassettes I'd throw on either because I liked it...because it was so hard and heavy... or because would make people do a double take, or if I was in a bad mood...in any case, it all worked. Pret...ty decent collection of Slayer at their hardest and fastest...kind of what was to come coming off their previous 2 studio albums, they were a precursor to this...they didnt release anything quite like it after either. My favorite track would have to be "Angel of Death" which jump starts this right off with fast ferocious singing by Tom Araya and dual leads guitar attacks by Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Dave Lombardo plays the drums like a machine gun too. Most of the songs are pretty short in length except 'Angel' and the closer "Raining Blood"...the record also has a loop in the outergroove that played back the rain effects endlessly. I hear they could do this entire album in like 15 mins at some concerts...pretty wild. It's definatley not for grandma...but it does get your heart pumping:-) Summing it up...One of the most important metal releases in the 80's and even now...a must own. RR Read more Less

Listen up kids, do you want the metal? Can you handle the METAAAAL?! Tom Araya is undoubtedly the sickest lyricist ever, and the rest of the band are super tight musicians. Rocking guitar solos, thrashing fast double bass drum beat, and twisted de...mented lyrics is what this band is all about. Listen to this music prior to going surfing, skateboarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, or anything else retarded and dangerous. You're guaranteed to hurt yourself in the process because you'll be so jacked up from the speed and angst these guys create on this cherished album.Slayer rules, every other speed metal band pales in comparison, miserably. I find it interesting that the other reviewers of this album gave it either one star or five stars. People either understand that "Reign In Blood" is the best thrash metal album ever, or they hate the album because they know nothing about the thrash ...metal lifestyle and therefore, have no business reviewing it. Ironically, if you do not love this album, Slayer fans want you to hate it. Tom Araya screaming "raining blood from a lacerated sky" is the heaviest moment ever, no questions asked. Read more Less

is a little bit offensive,but you have to look past some of the lyrics to see what an amazing album this is
