If you like music, then you like Biggie.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 26, 2006

Pros: I'll let you figure that out.

    Cons: Cons? What Cons?

Nobody has been able to rhyme over like Biggie. The only person that comes close is Jay-Z. This is what makes B.I.G. different he simply bonds with any beat he rhymes to. Some rappers have trouble flowin to some beats but not only does Biggie do it with ease, he has some hard-hittin real lyrics that make you think. You cant be a dumbass and understand his lyrics, only the true rap gurus know what Im talking about. But don't take my word for it.

    CLASSIC RAP

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 10, 2004

    Pros: a true lyricist

    Cons: a little swearing

Personally I am not a huge fan of rap. For the most part, I believe, it is a corrupt form of art filled with posers and wannabes. Yet when it comes to Biggie, its a whole 'nother story. Biggie was one of the greats. His music can be enjoyed by anyone, from grateful dead (deadhead) fans, led zeppelin fans, art blakey fans, miles davis fans, bob marley fans, to little richard, Frank Sinatra, george clinton, and the beatles fans. All of those can enjoy Bigs music because it has moments where it pertains qualities from each of those styles. I really can't believe that the Rolling Stones didn't have him in their 50 greatest issue. For the most part I agree with their picks yet I think most people would agree that Biggie is far better than artists they picked such as Janis Joplin, The Band, or roy orbinson (whoever he is). Basically Im just trying to say that Biggie was a pioneer in the rap game just like Chuck D and the Run. Every person of all ages, races, and backgrounds can enjoy this late artists work. O yeah, and I cant believe its almost been about 10 years since he came out wth this album. Time sure does fly while listening to surperb music!!!

A classic than defines real hip hop

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 14, 2002

One of the best rap albums ever made. Biggie definitely set it off with this debut. He could rap about the bad times as well as the good times. The production, beats, and lyrics are awesome. It seems that back in the early ninties, rap was more carefree and enjoyable, but ever since this bullshit that got Biggie and 2-pac killed, rap has lost a bit of it's edge. Ready to Die was definitely a classic as well as 2-pac's All Eyez on me. Both were great artists and it's a shame that two talented rappers who were only begining to have great success had to die a such a young age.

rapping is the telling of a story to a beat...

biggie definetly was better at that than pac.. his words just flowed smoothly over any track he laced.....

    STOLE TUPAC'S STYLE?!?!?!?!?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 16, 2001

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT!!?!?

This album is a part of raps foundation. A key element in your collection.
(I know I'm gonna get sh*t for this) but there's a good chance Biggie's actually better than Tupac...while Biggie could never possible display the emotion Tupac did, Biggie also didn't recycle his lyrics half as much as Tupac did.

    over-rated

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 6, 2001

stole 2pacs style. That song warning is shit. This guy was over-rated. He use to think he knew a lot about the things that went on in the rap game 'n' shit quote, when 2pac started to hate him, "Rap is so bad that even your friends turn against u in it." I aint bein' no hate 'n' shit, 'n' I aint disrespecting the dead if that's what u biggie fans r about to say, but Biggies over-rated.
