Ever wonder how an album can be reissued countless times over, with either a different title, new cover art, or slightly altered tracklisting? It's happened countless times to rockers over the years (especially veteran acts), including the Todd Rundgren tribute set, Todd Rundgren and His Friends. The set was produced by tribute album veterans Billy Sherwood and Bob Kulick, and since its original release in 2002, has been rereleased several times over, including 2003's ‘ReMixes.' Including all eleven tracks from the original release, this repackaged release tacks on a few remixes at the end, which aren't that much different than the original covers. Participating musicians include Vivian Campbell, Edgar Winter, Dweezil Zappa, Gary Hoey, Tony Levin, Steve Lukather, Jeff Baxter, Bruce Kulick, Richie Kotzen, Steve Stevens, and Derek Sherinian. If you already own one of the many other releases that contain this same material, the handful of remixes certainly don't warrant a second purchase. In the end, ‘ReMixes' may appeal solely to the fanatic that needs every single Rundgren related release.
