For as many big-name stars as this movie features, it's absolutely horrible. You can count on one hand the number of scenes that are legitimately funny.

When I watched the Jon Lovitz family in this film I laughed so much! But when I watched the stupid Amy Smart and Breckin Meyer screwing around I almost burned the DVD! Now this is a movie that is about six "teams" that are racing for two million dollars. The first one of them in Silver City, New Mexico is the winner. The race begins... The first team is the least funny team: Nick (Meyer) and Tracy (Smart). Nick is a rich wimpy and Tracy's a weird female chopper pilot. Team number 2: Vera (Whoopi Goldberg) and her daughter Merrill (Lanai Chapman). Well, they're not so funny either... They have their moments, but the one great thing in their story is a psycho woman played by Kathy Bates. Team number 3: Randy Pear (Lovitz) with his wife and kids. Now they're the funniest! Their story makes fun of Hitler, barbies, everything! Team number 4: Enrico Pollini (Rowan Atkinson), an italian moron who gets help from an ambulance driver (Wayne Knight) on the way. Team number 5: A dumb football referee, Owen Templeton (Cuba Gooding Jr). Team number 6: Duane and Blaine Cody. Two brothers with no brains... Well, watch the movie but I'm telling you: It's NOT the best thing Jerry Zucker has done!

Rat Race has to be the best comedy of the year. I couldn't quit laughing at the two brothers and their satellite dish incident and the compulsive gambling millionaires are hilarious. I would like to see a Rat Race/Cannonball Run DVD set. Go see this movie if you love comedy!

Considering that Funny Farm used to be my all time favorite comedy, this had some competition... and it blew FF off the farm! The only thing it was missing was Chevy Chase.. well, maybe there'll be a RR2 w/him. Meanwhile, I haven't laughed so hard in ages. Especially everytime Seth Green's brother screamed..that was the best. A must have video...a must party movie.

First check my name to see why I might be inclined to like this movie. Second, I can not remember a time when I laughed out loud so much and with such intensity. Wait a minute, yes I can... 1973 when I first went to see "The Groove Tube". I had to leave the room a couple of times to keep from actually causing myself physical damage. This has to be the best time you can have watching a movie. If you're in a bad mood or had a miserable day... this will definitely pull you out of it. I didn't expect much from this movie... but was pleasantly surprised and impressed. I rented the movie... but I'm headed to the store to buy the DVD.

I can't imagine why this got some bad reviews, but there were some very good ones too. I had a bad feeling about it when I first saw previews but then wanted to judge for myself. It's really the only film in recent memory where I can remember sitting there with a big, dumb grin on my face the whole time. Best scene: a toss-up between the Lucys and the, ahem, Barbir Museum.

FUNNY, FUNNY, & more FUNNY!!! The list of actors / actresses is endless, but let's just say, if you have a favorite comedian, they are probably in the "Rat Race". I think that Cuba Gooding, Jr. needs another Oscar just for the HOURS he spent with all those "Lucys"-VERY FUNNY

Okay, okay. I don't know much about what makes a classic movie, but I spend a lot of time with very movie-literate friends. It's very clear to me that Rat Race isn't the Cadillac of films...but to be honest, I loved it! I saw it twice and laughed constantly. John Cleese's "eccentric" performance was a joy. I hate to break the five star record, but Rat Race deserves four, and one to grow on!!!

Yeahh Films like "Shallow Hal", "American Pie 2", "Rush Hour 2", "Jay & Silent Bob", "Not Another Teen Movie", "Down to Earth", "Evoulotion", "Shrek", "Dr. Dolittle 2" and all other movies that call them self a Comedy movie. Well RAT RACE delivers LAUGHS, SPOOFS, & A WILD CAST. I dint know Comedy had to have a good cast. Now I saw the movie 4 times 1 in its first day release, it was so good I invited my sister, borther and friend to see it. They LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT!!!!!!
The 2nd went to California and invited my BEST COUSIN ISACC to see it. NOW WE BOTH AGREE!!!!! RAT RACE if the FUNEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR. 3rd Time I had to go visit it Again and 4 went with my parents and Sister and Saw it. EVERYONE I INVITED WAS LAUGHING AND SWEATING.
Now here comes the weakness of the film 2 major fails. Rat Race could have been better in its casts RACE we dont get alot of Adventure but its still good, Number 2 is the end, dont wana give away anything, but Jerry Zucker (the dirictor) has given nothing of plot. Never the less i grade it a B+ and it rankes with Dumb and Dummer as the 2 best comedy. MAKE A DASH TO BUY IT AND YOULL SEE ITS WORTH IT I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew! I saw this movie 5 times in theatres, and let me tell you I got my money's worth. This movie has laughs that will last you days to come. If you are into comedys, you have to see Rat Race. I know I'll be a first to get my hands on a copy!

dude, i saw this movie the 2nd day it came out, and let me tell you, i was in stitches the WHOLE time i could not stop laughing, even during the calm sceens i would recalect the funny sceen before, if you LOVED It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World you will absolutly love this one!!! i cannot wait till Mad world, and Rat Race hit DVD, i WILL DEFAINATLY BUY THEM!!!

GOOD GOD!!! MOVIES DO NOT GET ANY FUNNIER THAN THIS. CUBA GOODING JR. ESTABLISHES HIMSELF AS THE MOST UNDERATED COMIC ACTOR EVER. YOU WILL NOT SEE A FUNNIER MOVIE IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.
