It was very sad that Siouxsie had broken up with the group, considering this was the best record the band has ever done.
It still has the dark, moody, melancholy sounds you've heard from in the late 80's/early 90's. Only this time they've taken it full circle.
The first track, 'O Baby', explains just that. 'Fall From Grace' is enough to sound like a Doors song, and the tinge of country and accordion on 'The Lonely One' shows the band's diverse talent. The best track on this album is 'Forever', as its euphoric sense entrances you. Also, the 10-minute title song, which is cut into a medley-like tune, should please the listener. A crying, shrieking guitar can be heard on 'The Double Life'. And the final song closed off the disc perfectly.
Also, if you can't get enough of Siouxsie Sioux, she is also on various Creatures albums with the drummer Budgie, dating back to 1983. Check out the Creatures latest E.P., 'U.S. Retrace'.
