A great film that everyone will enjoy. Not a family film, but a great movie for adults and older children. I love Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman in this movie. 2 thumbs up.

Tom cruise plays Charley Babbitt who gets dissed on a 300 million inheritance. When he finds out his brother who's a spazz (The rainman)inherited the money, he kidnaps him to get custody of him and the cash. They drive out to California and where theres a custody hearing. The Rainman testifies "Charley Babbitt definitely cornholed me when I wasn't wearing my K-Mart underwear"

Dustin Hoffman gives perhaps his best classic performance as a savant. Any great acting performance is worth savoring and this one surely is. Hoffman really sinks his teeth into the role and the effort of Tom Cruise in a supporting role is worthy of high marks, too. Keeping the movie moving along is a snappy score, especially in the train ride out west to Las Vegas.

Scratch that, it is the best all around movie of all time. It's hilarious in a lot of scenes and the acting is outstanding. It provides great drama as well and an amazing story. Perfect film.
