    Raining in L.A. song in The Rain Book

    Pros: Haunting

    Cons: Album is almost impossible to get

    Raining in L.A. was released by Epic as a single in the early '70s and actually got some airplay on radio stations but never hit the Billboard Top 100. The song is a lovely, plaintive and lyrical ode to the loneliness of a woman reaching out to a... former lover? in L.A. The song is known for Renee's voice breaking in the middle of each "L. A.", dropping close to a register. A little-discovered gem. Read more Less
