    The album was pretty good. I had expected another "Tommy" but alas it was not better. It was still good tough and has some very strong tracks. "Love Reign Over Me" "Stay Out" "Joker James" and "The Real Me".

    This album is an Epic effort, and not only do I think it is the Who's best effort, but it stands as one of the best double albums of all time. The setting is on a beach. It is about a teenage boy going through the depression of isolation from peers ...and troubles with his family. I was able to get a hold of this album when I was in highschool, and it was a big help to alleviate any trouble I was having. I just put on the album, and I knew I wasn't the only one having certain problems in life, and that I was lucky not to have it as bad as the kid the album is based on. Not to mention the great wisdom that is shared through the lyrics. I, as many others think it contains the best bass (by john entwistle) of any rock song, on the track, "The Real Me". But the entire band comes to play on this album, boasting the best rythym section ever in rock. Pete Townshend doesn't dissapoint either with gripping lyrics and innovative guitars and synthesizers. A must have for anyone who is interested in classic rock. Read more Less
