    The Neverending Story, part VIII

Okay, maybe you're one of those people who finds air-traffic controllers exciting... That's FINE, just fine... You'll like 10% of this movie. The rest had nothing to do with air-traffic control--for that matter, it had very little to do with anythin...g! This incoherent mish-mash of confusing plot, random characters and poor movement makes for a bad movie that just never seems to END! I watched the whole thing out of morbid curiosity. I would suggest that you don't. John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton are great, just not here. Angelina Jolie is suburb, but not here (plus, she has only a very small role and only shows a good 30 seconds of nipple... see Foxfire for a better Jolie T&A flick). If you've got approx. two hours to kill, I recommend a ball-peen hammer to the head over this movie. Read more Less

This movie did an excellent job of portraying air traffic as it really is, but did a horrible job at making sure the viewer understood what was going on. The average person had to wade through a lot of technical jargon to get to the heart of things ...which left some confused. The concept behind the movie was great, as air traffic is a very misunderstood job that effects everyone in the world. However, the plot could have used a little help and the humor could have been funnier. It got a 3 from me only because it relates to something my family lives and breathes: air traffic control. (And not all wives are that catty.) Read more Less
