I was first introduced to Curve two years ago - a dear friend of mine sent me three of their CDs (Pubic Fruit included) and I became a fan almost instantly. Now I'll admit that on first listen many songs sounded similar - but I like their sound so ...what's wrong with that?The two songs that were particularly outstanding are 'Galaxy' - apart from the catchy chorus 'won't say no - it won't way yes' it has a rhythmic flow to it that seamlessly joins all the unique elements of the song. There's a sexiness to Toni's effortless and self-assured vocals that made me want to learn the lyrics as fast as I could so i could sing along ;o)The music is only let down by sound quality (it was originally recorded on tape) so the limitations of that medium are noticeable, but if you can look (or listen) beyond that and persist with it you will definitely be rewarded.This is definitely one album that bears repeated listening and those quirks turn out to be the parts that will probably be appreciated the most.
