Synopsis: Psycho Beach Party (2000)
Synopis: A mischievous beach-fest in the style of old 50s, 60s, and 70s thriller-beach party-slasher movies, Malibu-based PSYCHO BEACH PARTY follows a nearly invisible plot. Chicklet Forrest (Lauren Ambrose) is a wanna-be surfer girl with multiple personalities. She is becoming my favorite! I loved the homosexual innuendos throughout the film and appreciated each character's distinct personality. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and would recommend it to anyone who is intelligent, open-minded, and outgoing enough to challenge themselves with something a little different. I find that those who don't like the film were lost because they have simple, narrow or closed minds and should not even bother to get out of bed in the morning. Rent it, it's great! ...

Pros: very very funny, twisted plot, Lauren Ambrose
Cons: picture is grainy,
I loved this move ever since I saw a friend in the play version. The movie is a bit different then the play, but does not surprise me. The same basic characters are in place but seem to be more lively and colorful. After seeing Ambrose in Six Feet Under you can tell she is a very gifted actress. It is a shame that Under closed out their season recently. I hope she goes on to do more stuff.
Party is a movie the takes the fifties love scene, beach, Gidget type stories, combine with the seventies slasher flicks and this movie is what you get? It is about a young girl Chiklette (Ambrose) that seems to have different personalities every time she sees round objects. She is a girl resembling Gidget in a lot of ways, seeming like she is the goodie goodie teen girl from Grover ...
