Psychedelic Jungle is a departure from their previous divulgences into pure, wild rockabilly. The Cramps take on the same music but with a different approach. Where the previous records were loud and seering, this one is calm and enchanting. Origina...lly done by Ronnie Cook, their biggest hit--Goo Goo Muck, comes from this album. They also do an excellent take on the rambunctious Ronnie Dawson signature song, Rockin’ Bones, and make it their own, fully adapting it to their psychedelic taste. More than any other album they would ever make, this one has the most consistent tone, thereby tying all the songs together. Gravest Hits is a collection of early singles that the Cramps originally issued themselves, then IRS came along and assembled this great EP. While there's only one original here, the Cramps classic, Human Fly, the covers are top notch. Highly recommended. Read more Less
