Prosthetic Aesthetics is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Jeff Raudebaugh. While watching his brother Brandon Raudebaugh, bass player for the Fuzz, he began playing guitar at the age of 14. Near the end of high school, this Michigan native had independently produced and released a self-titled debut, which mixed an eclectic swirl of dream pop and space rock. Influences such as Radiohead and the Chemical Brothers were most notable, yet an individualistic stance on molding heavy guitars with soft-spoken vocals intricately crafted the album. In 2001, they began to experiment with elements of folk and pop compared to their previous electronically charged work.
