Cons: dissapionting recording quality
Listen to it when it came out in cassette and loved it. Music execute with passion and conviction. 19 years later it sounds much better. I got the CD the other day. enjoy.

Pro Reviews: Private Revolution
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews This debut album from World Party is a solid release, even if it is a bit heavy on the synthesized sounds (what can you expect from a one-man band?). Wallinger's insightful songs deal primarily with the responsibility of the individual to recognize and cope with the problems of the world. Features mainly original songs like "Private Revolution," "World Party," and "It's All Mine," as well as a cover of Dylan's "All I Really Want to Do," which remains surprisingly true to the original version. - Iotis Erlewine, All Music Guide |

Pros: has a timeless sound
Cons: I like it louder than my ears can hear
This album, as it's descendant, Goodbye JUmbo, is a well crafted rock album in the tradition of the Beatles but with a sound that spans from the sixties to Lenny Kravitz. This is music with a universal social consciousness that is not at all preachy. Rather, it is stoked in rock 'n' roll muscianship that isn't self possessed. It's raw, it's accessible, it's erupting with talent.
