Pro Reviews: Prince of Heaven's Eyes/Modern Masquerades

  • All Music Guide

Fruupp is primarily memorable for their wonderful name, but they nevertheless delivered some nice, warped British psych-prog in the '60s. See for Miles' two-fer features their first two albums, Prince of Heaven's Eyes and Modern Masquerades, and while they're fairly generic, it's in a good way, especially for the psych collectors that will seek this kind of music out. No, it's not a great find, the kind you'll play for fellow record geeks, but it's enjoyable enough to pick up.
