I Love this movie

This is an excellent movie, as soon as I started watching,I was hooked, not just because I like to story, but it was well acted and the costumes and settings were real. I loved the fact that the story follows the book almost verbatim, and in most ca...se it actually does take the words right from the book. Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle were chemistry together. If they make Pemeberly into a movie, I do hope they will use them again. MUST SEE for Jane Austin fans. Read more Less

I think they did an awsome job on this movie! The story line was exactly line the book, and they didn't change a thing. They cast the movie very well, especially Lydia and Mrs. Bennett

This book has already been my favourite and this mini-series is totally worth-watching! Colin Firth was born to be Mr.Darcy! His part was so inspired, the series is the best film ever made based on a Jane Austen's novel!

This is the best screen adaptation I have ever seen. The cast was outstanding. The settings were right on the mark. The film is true to the novel. I have never seen a finer production.

This is a truly excellent film. Watch it if you have 6 hours to kill. The acting is lovely, the story builds and climaxs, the costuming is wonderful.

This movie is the most like the book I have ever seen, it is a long movie over 5 hours but it needs every minute to fully develop the story and the characters. I love the book, and I love this movie I would recommend it to everyone who loves romance,... wit, and classics. There is beauty and elegance in all the actors, we have lost the art of a shy smile or a quick look across the room, this movie brings it back to remind us why the simple things in life bring the most reward. this film renews my hope in human kind. that there can be such a film that portrays a beautiful tale by one of my faorite authors(jane Austen) and with hollywoods influence. The acting by colin firth and jennifer eyle was the best acting i've see...n in any film. As i reread the book after i saw the film, it was like watching the movie on paper. the movie was a perfect compliment to a wonderful story. The classic story just comes to life and leaves you with some hope that love does exsist, and that a woman can be such an amzing character as elzabeth bennet was. It was all the love with none of the sex that pollutes todays movie screens. im a young person who truly enjoyed the splender of finally just a well done film. it truly will always be a masterpeice to be watched and enjoyed over and over again. The Best So Far

Cons: Better kiss between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy at the end

This is the best movie version of this book that I've seen. I've seen the old black and white version with Laurence Olivier and was disappointed with that one. This version works because it's done in the miniseries format, spread out in 6... parts which gives more time for character development and stays extremely faithful to the book. The actors bring the characters to life and I love their interpretation of the characters. Darcy has just the right amount of pride and arrogance without being too pompous and Elizabeth is definitely his match in intelligence and spiritedness. All of the humour and tenderness from the book is captured well in the movie. This is definitely a must-see for anyone who loves this book and any of Jane Austen's other works. Read more Less
