    Pros: A Perfect Love Story

    Cons: Language may be a setback for some, didn't bother me

    This movie was the most beautiful romance movies I have seen in a LONG time. It was filled with the raw emotions of Love. From wanting someone to love and be loved by, to not settling for anyone, to pride getting in the way of love... Oh so many real... feelings portrayed... This is a Classic tale...     Pros: EXCELLENT CAST

    Cons: COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE LONGER

    I JUST LOVED THIS MOVIE. THE CASTING WAS EXCELLENT AND THE ACTORS WERE VERY PASSIONATE IN THEIR ROLES. THIS GAVE A LITTLE MORE EXCITEMENT TO THE STORY THAN THE 1995 VERSION. THE 1995 VERSION WAS A MINISERIES SO IT COULD DRAG OUT THE STORY IN MORE DET...AIL, BUT BEC THIS VERSION (2005) WAS ON THE SILVER SCREEN, THEY HAD TO SHORTEN IT, THEREFORE, CUTTING MINOR DETAILS OUT... OR PUTTING SCENES TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE INSTEAD OF 2 OR 3 PLACES TO SAVE TIME. THERE WAS NO WEDDING IN THIS FILM BEC JANE AUSTEN DID NOT WRITE OF THE WEDDING DETAILS AT ALL. THEY WENT FROM BEING ENGAGED TO LIVING AT PEMBERLY IN THE BOOK, UNLIKE THE 1995 VERSION. SO THIS 2005 ADAPTATION WAS CORRECT. I THINK THEY COULD HAVE MADE A LITTLE LONGER MOVIE ON THE SCREEN LIKE A GONE WITH THE WIND AND THAT WAY MORE OF THE BOOKS LITTLE DETAILS COULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED OR AT LEAST 30 MIN. MORE THAN IT IS NOW. I GUESS THEY WERE AFRAID THE GUYS WOULDNT GO SEE THE CHICK FLICK IT LOOKED TO BE TOO LONG..??? BUT LENGTH DIDNT HINDER THE AUDIENCE FOR GONE WITH THE WIND.... MAYBE THESE DAYS ARE DIFFERENT BUT TITANIC DID WELL AWHILE BACK AND IT WAS OVER 3 HOURS...I HOPE THEY WILL ADD ANY SCENES THEY DELETED TO THE DVD VERSION... FOR US ROMANTICS. ROMANTICISM STILL EXIST IN THIS WORLD, I AM HOPEFUL. ANYHOW, I WAS IMPRESSED WITH MATT AND YOUNG KEIRA, THEY PULLED IT OFF. ALL THE AMERICAN AND ENGLISH ACTORS DID EXCEPTIONALLY WELL!! BRAVO!     Pros: The Actors and Actresses they picked to play in it

    Cons: They didn't show Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy get married

    This movie is an awesome love story if you like a suspensful love story. I agree with the many critics that say it's one of the best love stories out there today. Keira Knightley does an awesome job as the spirited Elizabeth Bennet.Matthew MacFad...yen does an awesome job as playing Mr.Darcy. At first I thought that he wasn't very cute, but as the move progressed he got a lot cuter to me and how he loved Elizabeth gave him major brownie points in my book. If you haven't seen this movie you NEED too! THis movie is a Love Story I think every girl should see. Read more Less

    Pros: The actors..every one of them did a superb job, well done..very, very, well done !!!!

    Cons: none !!!!!!!!

    There a million wonderful things i could say about this movie...what more could i say ??? A wonderful wonder..... i would tell everyone about it and hope to find a soundtrack for the lovely music.

    Pros: SCENERY

    Cons: Actors bad diction -couldn't understand the words they spoke

    The old English wording is great - it helps to put you in the story. But I could not understand the actual words the characters were speaking. It seemed they spoke too fast and they slurred the words. I prefer the "Colin Firth" edition put ...out by A&E. You get a better picture of the storyline and family life in those days. The characters have better diction and lovely clothing. My money is on the A&E version. IF you like this modern one - you'll love the older version -two disc set. Read more Less

    Pros: Excellent acting

    Cons: Story is somewhat boring in spots

    This movie was overall very good. A very sweet love story portrayed wonderfully by Keira Knightly. I have not seen the other Pride and Prejudice, so I do not know how they compare, but this one was done very well and is a sweet story if you like mush...y romance :) Read more Less

    Pros: Enchanting love story...the characters are so real.

    Cons: Needed a wedding and a nice, long kiss.

    I loved this movie, not only for the reason of loving the book as well, but for the fact that the characters are so believable and real. They were not overdone in silly, puffy costumes, but they wore simple dresses without all the fluff. Having littl...e makeup, extravagant hair, and glorified jewelry made the characters very enchanting. You really felt like you could relate. I thought Matthew Macfayden especially did a wonderful job acting Mr. Darcy. I loved it...over and over again! Read more Less

    OMG!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE! it rox my sox.... i could watch this movie over and over again! its romantic so most guys probably wouldn't like it...but hey, you never know!

    Austen's Newest Fan!

    Pros: Excellent actors, superb cimematography & musical score

    Cons: Over too soon!

    I have to admit to not knowing anything of or about Jane Austen prior to watching this film. However, I have since read the book and watched various other adaptations of Pride & Prejudice with none of them coming close to this version. The acting was... phenominal! But what I feel this version delivered that no other had was the cinematography and the musical score. They each assisted in making the story come to life! My only regret was to not have more depth of Elizabeth's and Darcy's romance like in the book. I believe Jane Austen fans would agree, I could have sat and watched for hours longer had their time together on screen lingered. Superb story telling! By far, my favorite film - EVER!
