    Pros: the dvd case

    Now being a post apocalyptic movie buff I've sat through many bad B movies...but this one takes the cake. The graphics are out of some video game and the actors, although they are quite good were directed very poorly. The delivery is like somethi...ng out of a grade 6 play where no one knows how to read actor's cues. The plot on it's own is a great one...but the movie just kills the story. Now some would say..well you put canadian actors in a flick...that's what you get...i disagree. Check out The Day After Tommorrow....lots of Canadian actors...BUT with good directing. I say this movie is bound to be a 20 year hit in some small town in North Korea...and even that is doubtful. Read more Less

    Great movie

    Pros: Dean Cain is hott

    Cons: Not so good special effects

    I give Post Impact 4 stars. I liked it because Dean Cain is in it, and I'm a huge fan of his. I liked the chemistry between the characters. I also liked it when the bad girl tries to kill Dean Cain but he ends up killing her first. Hell yeah, Dea...n knows how to kick some ass!!! LOl. Anyway, despite the fact that the special effects weren't all that good, the movie was good. Dean did a good job. Read more Less

    Pros: Provocative woman soldier

    Cons: Bad story line, writing, script and special effects

    This movie was something to laugh at and not with. The directors writing was absurd. Just when you thought it could not get crazier it does. Science can get thrown out the window. Dean Cain and many of the actors had dialogue that was sort of wooden.... Much of the special effects of this movie looked like it was shot from an eighties video game; outdated and real poor. In fact, I feel the director would have been better off with real snow and models like George Lucas in Norway back in 1979 while filming the ice world of Hoth for the Empire Strikes Back. There is one character that stands out in all of this. That is Joanna Taylor who played a second in command sergeant Sarah Henley. There was some chemistry in her character. With absurd plots and lines she carried the movie through like a trooper. She was the only one spirited enough to do that as movie progressed. I do like a bad ass chick. I admit I may be a little too mesmorized. But I hope an acting agent is reading this. She can find better directors to channel her aggressive talent. It was amazing what this woman did with her absurd lines. She was really acting. Seeing what actors can do with bad scripts, bad acting from others along with bad directing can be quite insightful. It is especially true when an actress like Joanna Taylor can overcome some of this. I would not recommend this movie unless you want an absurd laugh or are looking for a provacative woman soldier that kicks butt. I'd give the movie a 2 out of 10 and Joanna Taylor a 9 out of 10 at least. You can't beat a model carrying an M-16 with finesse and style while wearing tight leather pants.
