Pros: Had a great look and feel
Cons: Not enough character development
"Poseidon" was a great movie, especially since it was a remake. There is a great cast and the graphics in this one are so much better than in the orginal "The Poseidon Adventure." I liked how they didn't use the same characters in the orginal and I like how the characters have to go through different ordeals than in the original as well. The only thing that I didn't like about "Posiedon" is the character development. In the original they the Director tells the background of his characters, in this one the background story to the characters is very vague. But, other than that, Poseidon is a must see and a must own!

Pros: good screenplay, visuals
Cons: weak re-make
the remake of the famous 1972 film "The Posiedon Adventure" featuring Gene Hackman, although the old one is still much better ... The adventure begins when a luxury cruise-liner gets flipped upside down by a giant ocean wave on new year's eve ... suddenly the passengers find themselves trapped in a sinking ship and they have to figure out the right way UP towards the hull of the ship ... Kurt Russell & Josh Lucas, by guiding the way, try to be heroes of the sinking ship, but in a performance that is still less than Gene Hackman ... Nice visual & sound effects i agree, thanks to advances in cinematography in the last 20 years ...

Cons: It was a remake...nuff said.
It wasn't that bad, a little disappointed with the whole "armageddon" twist with Kurt Russell at the end, but all in all, it was well made, if a little un-realistic.

I watched this movie fully prepared to not like it. But I was happily surprised. It wasn't that bad. I was a little disappointed with the whole "armageddon" twist with Kurt Russell at the end, but all in all, it was well made, if a little un-realistic. I enjoyed it.

Pros: GREAT MOVIE!
Cons: Someone famous died in this movie
A remake of the 1972 disaster classic "The Poseidon Adventure." A luxury ocean liner capsizes from a colossal tidal wave, leaving it's survivors to fend for themselves as they find a way out.This movie is far better then the 1972 version.A must to watch!
