pOpstArkiDs emerged from New York City's downtown underground scene in 1999. The brainchild of guitarist/singer Andee, the project started as a collection of his four-track demos, which featured a sort of quirky lo-fi electronic pop. Andee teamed up with another local musician, Anthony Pops, and recorded the first pOpstArkiDs album as a duo in late 1999.
