Pros: Excellent tracks with something for everybody!

Cons: Might offend some male listeners with women issues

This artist with the rastafarian hairdo is the real deal. Not only does she sings but she also writes her own songs in this album. Lynda employs the infusion of several musical styles that help her come up with a unique style of her own. Every song h...as different connotationsthat can be interpreted by the listener as she or he sees fit. The songs deal with very human issues, most of them having to do with the empowerment of women by demanding respect in every aspect of their lives. It's because of this, that some male reviewers who have listened to the songs included in POLEN, claim the album is simply feminist and against men. Not true. Lynda speaks not just to women but also to men, and she simply demands respect for their female partners/
mothers/
daughters. And the men she bashes are the ones that live a misogynistic and macho way of life. Some of Lynda's best songs from this album include “Lo Mejor de Mí”, “Para Tí”, “Ay Ay Ay” and “Estoy de Pie”. Please give this CD a try. Read more Less
