Battery Cover Breaks - Twice
I received this camera for Christmas in 2001. I immediately had to return it to Polaroid because the pictures were all out of focus. It took about 2 months, but that was repaired without cost. In May of 2002, I found the battery cover cracking to pieces. I returned it, at a cost of over $50.00, and that was repaired. This also took almost 3 months. Just after Thanksgiving, 2002, I noticed that the same battery compartment cover had shattered again. This is not worth spending another $50.00 and waiting another 2 or 3 months. I am looking for another brand of camera.

as a starter camera for the kids not bad This camera does not take the greatest pictures you really have to pay attention to the subject distance and set the shutter accordinly our first camera burnt to a crisp when connected to the computer the second failed to download because the cameras cable connection fell off
you cant use over 8 mb smart media which is no longer sold without special aparatus

My daughter requested a digital camera for her birthday. After checking the different cameras available, I bought the 640 because it offered the most for the lowest price. After my daughter had it for a month, it died. Taking it back to the store they gave me another, and she has had this one for a year and uses it for web pages. The photos she gets for her web designs are great. Shes also had use of a $7-800 sony mega and the pictures are not any better so for the price the 640 cant be beat!

Nice little camera for the price. I had tried other lower end Cameras and hated them. This one is awesome. takes a lil getting used to (then what new item doesn't?) once it's set up it's GREAT! I absolutly love the LCD display to view the shot thru... rather than having to use the viewfinder.
If you want to get started in the digital photography this is the one to get.

Purchased this little camera a few days ago. Main purpose for my art. To take quick photos and submit on-line either for web page or email. Applications are easy, good buy at under $150. Great being able to take 1 or 2 pic's and view right away. The only negative is pic's at a distance. Not that great.

I just bought this little camera for home use, and it works great, alot of features that most people will use. I take alot of digital pitures for work related items with a $900.00 plus camera, and this little camera compares very well to the high dollar ones....GREAT camera for the money.

My wife really wanted a digital camera,but neither of us want to part with 2,3,4,5 hundred dollars (or more!),and she wanted features like a LCD display.When I saw this camera (which I found for $149.95) I was impressed.We are not photo experts,just want a digital camera with a few of the high end features.If it doesnt have enough gadgets on it to satisfy you...you WILL pay twice as much to get them on some other camera.So its a good buy for the money.

I think it is a great camera for the price range. We could not of got a better deal on a camera. We have 2 friends that have one and they high recommended us to get one. They have great picture quality. The have as good picture quality as a regular camera has.

First Digital camera that i have owned. More than adequate for picture taking. Probably not as sophisticated as the higher priced cameras, but who is a professional anyway. good buy

Great Digital Camera for the price range. Takes great pictures,even against some more More expensive equiptment I've seen results from.The software Package Photomax Imagemaker is very simple to set up and use. It offers many options that a more expensive package may include. I Know a couple of professional photographers who have purchased them for just those, "the fun of it type shoots" ,because of all the above reasons.My wife brought my attention to this system and purchased a great xmas gift for me. Thanks Dear, great choice.

Good buy for the money i just got it at wal*mart for 149.95$$$ can't beat it, the pic's come out like real life. comes wiht A.c. adapter, thats like another $$50.00 but it comes with it.. If you want a camera in this price range, what are you waiting for??? Can't beat it, the software is so fun and easy to use!!!

This is an old camera, that is why I gave it only 1 star. At the time it came out, it was actually pretty good. But that was before I was born (kidding). Compared to the new cameras with 2 Mpixels for less than $300 and 3.3 available, this one is 0.31, so imagine the quality of the pictures. The quality is BAD! If taking pictures of mountains and forests, it is ok, but for people, it is terrible. I look differently, my features are all screwed up (ie. eye is triangular). So, not that you would look at this camera, but still, if you do, do not buy it. Save some more and do it then.
