Following the framework established by 2000's Pokemon Stadium and its 2001 sequel on Nintendo 64, Pokemon Colosseum lets players take their prized creatures from Pokemon: Ruby Version and Pokemon: Sapphire Version so they can fight in 3D on GameCube. Multiple arenas are available to select from, and players can enlist their Pokémon in multiple tournaments against computer-controlled teams or against friends. The new four-player feature found in both Game Boy Advance titles has also made the transition to Colosseum, with two teams of two battling each other on the same screen. To play the game with four players, each contestant must link his or her handheld to the GameCube via the GameCube -- Game Boy Advance Cable. With both Game Boy Advance games, players can import over 200 Pokémon to compete on GameCube. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

Pros: Something New, Story Mode, Start w/ 2 Pokemon

Cons: No Audio Dialog, No Rental Pokemon

I personaly found this game to be a breath of fresh air for the pokemon franchise. Instead of catching Pokemon you save them. You finally have the ability to liberate pokemon from bad trainers. The story mode is good and a deffinite improvement ov...er the Stadium games. The battle modes are slightly lacking though. It's good to battle two-on-two but there is no longer any commentary on the battles. That is a little upsetting but personally I think the game makes it up with the story mode and ablitiy to use your gameboy Pokemon in the story mode. The last thing that annoyed me was that it had no rental pokemon section in it what so ever. Which means you have to play the story mode. But then again, this is a "new" game and is no long a staduim game. So don't go buy it expecting the same thing as staduim, for example: no mini games, rental pokemon, or battle commentary. I still enjoyed the game though, you just gotta relize that it was not made to be Pokemon Stadium 3. Read more Less
