Another spirited volume into this series chronicling the history of Pittsburgh rock roll and doo-wop. Like the other entries, this also features local Pittsburgh artists exclusively. For lovers of the awesomely arcane and crude, you'll have to do some major excavating to beat "Run Along Baby" and "Hey Miss Fancy" by the Premiers with Leroy and Sonny, a 45 that gives new meaning to the words raw and wild. Other highlights include "Please Be Fair" by the La-Rells, "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom" by Freddy Schaefer, "Let's Rock'n'Roll to Auld Lang Syne" by Chuck Edwards, "I'm Not a Know It All" by Cecil Barber and "I'm a Madman" by Willie Ward. Another fine volume in a great and unique series.
