This movie had you on your toes to the very end. Johnny Deep did an excellent job in his reoccuring role as Captain Jack Sparrow. Orlando Bloom brought back our loving character Will Turner who seems to have more lives than a cat. Kate Winslet showed us a swash buckling Elizabeth Swan who til the very end played out her role as a pirate. Davey Jones was a site to see as he and his crew graced the screen as our villians this time around. We meet Will Turner's father Boot Straps Bill. New characters are introduced as well as the return appearance of two well familiar characters from Captain Barbosa's crew. As the main objective in this story is centered on a chest that holds something of grave importance within it. Jack is running out of time to retrieve this chest as the crew of the Black Pearl sets out to find the Dead Man's Chest.

Pros: Amzing Effects, Great Storyline, Non-stop Action & Adventure
Cons: No Subtitles when the natives were speaking

To sum up this review, I believe that fans of the original Pirates of the Caribbean and fans of most Disney movies will want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man?s Chest. This is a remarkable film but it lacks being a worthy sequel to the original. This movie can be seen as a family movie as children and adults alike get the delight from the misadventures of the Pirates and their feuds. I treasured the movie but I thought it was not as good as the previous film. The visual effects are breathtaking, the story is tolerable, the direction is acceptable, and the acting is outstanding.

Ok, maybe the plot was cheesy. I don't know. Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp were about all I could see. Hot, hot, hot. Actually, I think it was very good. Jack shows that he has a very compassionate side. There's some real funnies in here too. Some of the scenes were really dark. It was hard to see what was going on. I think one thing that Hollywood forgets is that we don't have a dark theatre and a 30 foot tall screen to catch every nuance of what is happening. So some of the finer details seem to slip past without being noticed. All in all though, I'd watch it again. For the probably twentieth time now. Oh Captain.

Loved the film. Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are fantastic, and I'm not just saying that to go along with the rest of the female crowd! They portray their characters incredibly well. I love the time period...the sword fights...the pirates. SEE THIS FILM!

I for one thought this was a very good movie. Many people seem to get over critical when posting reviews but I for one dont expect any movie to change my life but only to provide an excape from my real life. I base my reviews on :
* Did I enjoy the movie
* Was I willing to wait going to the bathroom just to see what was going to happen next
* Was it worth the money I paid
* Did I spend any time after I seen it to talk about it with someone else
* Would I get the DVD
For this movie I can say yes in every account. Im not going break every movie down to its core. I dont care who wrote it, directed it, stared in it or any of the normal review topics.
Cannibals, sword fights, a sea monster, drunken tavern brawls, ghostly sailors and insane escapes for me all added up to a good time. It kind of reminded me of a night out with my brothers and friends. Depp is perfect as Capt. Jack Sparrow the swashbuckling-peter-pan who reunites with Will Turner (Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Knightley) on a quest to recover a key that will open a buried chest containing Davy Jones still-beating heart in hopes of getting out a dept Jones has come to collect.
All in all it is a great ride and I would recomend it to anyone. If you like the English Patient this movie might not be your cup of tea but if your a Video game, Nodoz, Mt.Dew feind like myself you will love it.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoFun Movie
