As one of the premier video company's in the world, Pioneer and Fujitsu hold most of market share in high quality flat panels. What used to be a limited market has grown by leaps and bounds in a matter of 3-4 years. The reason Pioneer is an elite video company is due the fact that they manufacture 90%+ of the parts used to make the flat panel. Fujitsu holds the market because they supply many companies with the necessary parts to make the flat panel. What is changing now-a-days is the fact that most of these companies like Panasonic, Sony, Philips, and Samsung are building the majority of their products from scratch, using a limited source of outside parts. The first pioneer that I sold was nearly 25,000 and now as their 6th generation plasma comes out (PDP-(43/50/61)61HD, prices have dropped in half from last year. The retail value for a NEW Pioneer Flat Panel is 9499.99 for the 61, 5999.99 for the 50, and 4499.99 for the 43. Make sure and do you research on what you buy, ma

Pros: Excellent video connections including 2 HDMI inputs. HDTV image is amazing.
Cons: Expensive, if you buy it at regular price.
VALUE: This unit is expensive compared to other units, if you buy it at a regular price. I bought my from Bestbuy for $3995.0 after instant rebate and mail in rebate. Also I got the rewardzone points with $250.0 worth of certificate back. This is why I gave this unt a rating of 5 for value.
SUPPORT: NO support needed yet, after 4 months of usage (avarage of about 5-6 hours a day).
FEATURES: This unit comes with plenty of video inputs including 2 HDMI inputs. Table stand and speakers are also included with the bestbuy model PDP-5041.
Separate audio/video connection box. Some people complain about the fan noise. I don't really have a problem with it. You must be sitting really close to this TV to heard the fan noise. It's not any louder than your laptop fan noise.
QUALITY: This unit is very solid with an excellent design. Not as ugly as some other units I have looked at.
Minor buzzing noise coming from the sides of the display panel. I cannot hear this noise if I am sitting at the proper viewing distance. Also I cannot hear this noise when the tv volume is at normal listening level or greater at any distance from the panel.
OVERALL: Excellent HDTV images. Out of the box need some video settings tweak otherwise you see some grainny images as complained by other. If this is your first plasma unit, I suggest you spend a little time reading the manual and play with the video settings.
