With the help of a loyal assistant and the endearing plant-like Pikmin, Olimar must remain on the planet long enough to erase the company's debt of 10,000 pokos. Pikmin 2 has players alternating control of the two lead characters (Olimar and his assistant) while commanding an army of Pikmin to defeat hostile threats, breed more Pikmin, gather important items, and solve puzzles. Pikmin 2 does away with the time limit found in the original game, letting players fully explore their 3D surroundings without the fear of being rushed.     Pros: Great improvement on the extremely original first game. Great puzzle solveing, strategy and action. Beautiful evironments. Super cute too!

    Cons: None in my opinion. Some parts are a little too difficult and frustrating i guess.

    Pikmin is an extremly original game in an industry that is pretty stagnant if you ask me. If you played pikmin 1 and liked a lot but thought it was too short then you definatly need to get pikmin 2. This game was even more beautifully done and solved... many of the problems with the first game. For one thing there is no limits on the days this time so you have all the time you want to explore an even larger area. There are two new types of pikmin (puple and white) with their own very cool special abilitys. You are able to aquire these in the new underground side quests which are very chalengeing and fun. They have even been able to make the pikmin's personalitys even MORE cute if thats possible. I have been haveing a blast with this game and I havent even got to try the new multiplayer option yet. I am definatly looking forward to it! I highly recomend this game! Read more Less

    Pros: Maintained everything from the original and added

    Cons: the next pikmin will be much anticipated

    Actually better than the first. Only advanced upon the first. The added types of Pikmin are functional in the game as the villians are more diversified. Like the first, the difficulty does increase as you go along. The only problem was that the two p...layer action was resticted to the side games and not the main story. In the next version they must allow for 2 players in the main story. Read more Less
