Pros: Great music
Cons: might be too "goyish" for some
The 11th track on this album, Asher Bara, is my personal favorite. They do a dead on perfect performance of "Land Down Under" by "Men At Work" but singing the traditional "Asher Bara" to that tune. While some will compla...in that this is "goyish music" it has quickly become a favorite at weddings. Throughout the album the lyrics are traditional but the music rocks. Piamenta is sure to remain a classic "jam band" for many years to come. Read more Less

This is the first CD release from Avi and Yossi Piamenta, two brothers (former New York studio musicians) who now compose and perform Jewish music with a grinding guitar and an elegant flute sound combined with a rock roll backbeat. This features "Asher Boro," a prayer sung at Jewish weddings, set here to the tune of Men at Work's "Down Under."
