As a Linux user, having had two other MP3 players demand "gnuine" Windows or refuse to load music, the SA2525 was a pleasant surprise. Its drag-and-drop music loading is perfectly compatible with either Gnome or KDE, and a minute or two aft...er opening the box I had music loaded and playing. The display in this case is limited to the filename, which is perfectly acceptable unless you store hundreds of songs and need to access them individually. It comes with a short USB extension cable but can plug directly into the USB socket on most computers.The main deficit is the tinny quality of the supplied ear buds; a better quality headset will let you appreciate the sound quality, which is really quite good.The AAA battery gives good life and can be easily changed if you run out during a workout. Just be careful not to lose the plastic USB conector cap, which also holds the battery cover in place. All in all, a simple, practical, universally compatible design. Read more Less
