Singer Phil Mogg and bassist Pete Way first teamed during the late 1960s in the British space metal outfit UFO, one of the longer-lived hard rock bands of the era. After Way left the group in 1982 to form Waysted, UFO dissolved the following year, subsequently reforming on several occasions. A 1993 reunion brought Way back to the fold, and although UFO again disbanded, he and Mogg continued their collaboration as a duo, releasing Edge of the World in 1997. Chocolate Box followed two years later.
