With Ostia, Pharos' award-winning navigation software installed on your Pocket PC, you can drive or walk through any city in the US, and locate your current position or quickly find a destination or point of interest. Routes can be calculated and viewed. The automated voice prompts will instruct you when and where to turn. If by chance you go "off-route", the automated voice will give an off-route warning and the system will automatically reroute you to your destination from your current position.

    Pros: easy to use

    Cons: does not show your speed on map screen

    I had another GPS receiver before getting my Pharos. I love this one because it works with my PDA and they’ve made it so easy to use. When I take a trip I just open my contacts and it will route the trip just that fast. Also you can type in the a...ddress, cross streets, or points of interest. I’ve used this receiver now on short and loge trips and have not missed a turn yet. Oh by the way, if you do miss your turn it does reroute you automatically. I tried this for fun to see what it did. It also has voice on it so if you’re like me your kids will think your car’s telling you where to go. Have fun and happy travels. Read more Less
