| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews This budget-priced album is part of a series of modest recreations of the scores of stage musicals. Twelve selections drawn from Andrew Lloyd Webber's +The Phantom of the Opera are performed by four musicians and four singers. The work is competent, with Angela Presutti, as opera singer Christine, showing off a trained voice capable of hitting the requisite high notes. But the recording of course does not compare to the more highly recommended recordings done by prestigious stage casts such as the original London cast of 1986.
