Sergei Prokofiev's Captain Kangaroo Narrates Peter and the Wolf contains three tracks: a 25-minute version of Peter and the Wolf wonderfully narrated by Captain Kangaroo and two classical pieces performed by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cinderella Suite and The Ugly Duckling, Opus No. 18. Captain Kangaroo's telling of the story of Peter and the Wolf is sweet and engaging. A classic children's album that will delight and entertain with its mix of storytelling and evocative classical music. The album is a little heavy on the classical music, and by the end of the only story on the disc, kids might be eager for more storytelling.
