    Excellent GK

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 21, 2002

This is the most underrated album of all-time, I can honestly say. The band experiments a lot in this labum. Jeff's vocals are better than on the debut, and "Disintegrate" sounds like no band you've ever heard. That's right. At a 180 BPM rate and a t...wist of electronica and industrial, it's the best song here. Sure, they've got influences, but so does everyone else. This was their last TVT record, and in comparison to the debut, it'll take a couple weeks to fully appreciate, but I like it because this is them at their originality peak. Who cares if it sounds like many industrial bands? It doesn't compare to the perfection made by GK. Read more Less

    decent but not great

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 3, 2001

this album of industrial/metal tracks sometimes loses that fast-paced, edgy appeal, drifting into choppy songs that just don't quite seem quite right.perhaps the group felt pressured to do something a little different, show some versatility, after th...e success of their first album. maybe they were just looking to change up the pace a little bit. either way the result are some tracks which are difficult to listen to.some of the tracks are excellent, fast paced with a raw sound certain to get you pumped up. it's not a disaster of an album, but it's not one that jumps out at me as top notch either. Not so good as their first one

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 25, 2001

I found their self titled debut album to be far more inspiring than this album, which was something of a let down. This one seemed over worked and analyzed where their first CD had much more spontaneous flair. Too much effort was expended on making... the music unnecessarily complicated, instead of focusing on the bands prior raw power. Read more Less

    gravity kills cd perversion

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 17, 2001

i just bought this cd off of a friend and its not what i expected. there isnt many cds that are metal that i dont like. but this is the first in a long long time. i think its slow and the singer has a wimpy voice which defeats the purpose of being in... a hard rock/ techno band or whatever they are trying to be. Im glad i only paid $5 and not full price because nothing good comes out of this cd. i doubt i get there new cd in december. Read more Less

    gravity kill's perversion

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 25, 2001

this is a greatly underrated album. although more polished than their self titled debut, it cannot match the technical brilliance of any nine inch nails single or the pop friendly sounds of orgy. it stillis real good and would reccomend it to anyone ...who likes either group. Read more Less

    Perverts at their best

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 10, 2001

Not bad. It doesn't live up the hype and magic of the first album and Manipulation, but this is definitely another album that any club hopper should own. Gravity Kills ruuules!!!!

    great

I bought both the self titled cd and this one at the same time....this si the one that i took a liking to the most. I haven't really listened to the other one much so I can't say much about it but this one i loved! At times it reminds me of orgy and ...at other times nine inch nails...but at the same time they are themselves (original) I'm not into the "industrial" at that much but i loved this cd. if this is your type of tunes, you'll fully love it! Synthetic Kills!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 14, 2000

I brought this album 2 years ago and even on this very day I still listen to this sometimes, I really like it. Dissonance, weary, and somewhat heavy. I also think this album sounds a little less commercial than their first album. This also sounds a ...little more electronic that I like. I think G.K. is a better mainstream Industrial band than Orgy, because they know what it takes to be Industrial! Read more Less

    IndustRock band tests boundaries

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 4, 1999

Perversion was something of a departure for Gravity Kills, straying widely from the standard-issue industrial rock that they had glommed onto for their self-titled premiere release. This album has a much more sophisticated, electro feel to it, with ...bizarre breeds of guitar work and an electrical energy that you can practically grab onto throughout the entire album. Personally, I liked this evolution, as this album owes little lip service to existing bands. Perversion is the album that marks GK's mutation into a singular band, not just another Nine Inch Nails ripoff. The lyrics still don't make any sense, though. Read more Less
