    Emotional (sob)!!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 2, 2002

Stereomud is such an emotional group, they know how to compose feeling with rage and anger together. "pain", "don't be afraid" and "perfect self" are just...facinating. I love this group.

    Perfect Self!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 29, 2001

I got into Stereomud on the basis of the Pain single. Since then I've seen them live on the Music as a Weapon Tour with Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Adema and Systematic. They were great live and the album captures a lot of the energy that was put fort...h in their set. Thank God for a band that doesn't sound like a Limp Bizkit or Korn knockoff.Pick up Perfect Self! Promising debut

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 26, 2001

With former members of Life of Agony and Stuck Mojo in the line-up, how can you go wrong? Stereomud's first album "Perfect Self" is one of the better debuts I have heard since Sevendust first exploded upon the scene. Though it does tend to sound like... a re-hashing of the aforementioned metallers, "Perfect Self" CAN stand on it's own against some of the better albums released in the last two years. The vocals are soulful and aggressive, the riffs are downtuned and rough, and the percussive ensemble is tight and without flaws. Though the frontman DOES tend to sound like Lajon Witherspoon every now and again,(I kept finding myself flipping over the cd to make sure he wasn't LJ), the band comes through with a solid and promising debut album that makes for some good time head-banging. So, if a fan of LOA or Sevendust, be sure to pick up "Perfect Self" at your next opportunity...you will NOT be disappointed. Read more Less

    Very good

The whole thing rocks. It sounds like a cross between Staind/Korn/Disturbed. Best tracks: Leave, Old Man, Pain.
