Synopsis: Perfect Harmony (1993)
Synopis: PERFECT HARMONY looks at American racism of the 1950s through the microcosm of a private school in a small South Carolina town. Taylor (Justin Whalin) has always stood out as the star of his prep school choir. Taylor's life turns upside down when he meets Landy (Eugene Byrd), and African-American orphan living with his grandfather, the school caretaker (Moses Gunn). Plagued by racism, the boys' friendship suffers from the small minds of the town residents, until an inspiring new choirmaster (Peter Scolari) steps in to bring together everyone, regardless of race.Features: Perfect Harmony (1993)

Great Film for Middle School.

My sixth grade students were able to identify with this movie on so many different levels. We were able to use this film during Black Hisotry Month and Music in Our Schools month. But more than that, its a great story that lets the kids start talking about their own experience. Great film. ... -

I love to sing, so of course that intrigued me. I did, however, dislike the character that David Faustino played but didn't everyone? He was definately vital to the plot. He did a very good job of making everyone hate him. Justin Whalin was excellent as well as Eugene Byrd. Well, everyone was excellent accept that chic! haha well, it was probably just her character that made me hate her. Apologies! I'm just not saying much about the adults in this movie since the younger ones are more my age so I could relate more. I saw the movie years ago but I still love it now. well, that's it! ...
